Plants vs. Zombies™ Heroes is a collectible card game (CCG) adventure where players gather cards featuring plant and zombie characters. The game centers on building a battle deck from hundreds of available cards and engaging in real-time duels. A key distinguishing feature is the ability for players to choose to play as either plants or zombies, a first for the series on mobile platforms.
Collecting and Deck Building
Players collect unique Plant and Zombie Hero cards, each with distinct superpowers. These Hero cards influence deck strength and strategy during duels. Beyond Heroes, there are hundreds of additional PvZ cards to discover, allowing players to diversify their skills and devise strategies through compatible card selections and combo experiments. For quicker deck creation, an Auto Team-Builder feature can be used to assemble and automatically upgrade teams as new cards are acquired.
Duels and Adventures
The game features real-time PvP card battles where players test their custom decks against others. Success in these duels can lead to rewards. Additionally, players can embark on Courageous Adventures, progressing through an ever-blooming map with action-packed battles. This adventure mode includes encounters with challenging bosses, and each side (plants or zombies) follows a different path through the universe. Completing Daily Missions from Crazy Dave also contributes to building a player’s in-game bank.
In-Game Purchases
This game includes optional in-game purchases of virtual currency. This currency can be used to acquire virtual in-game items, including a random selection of virtual in-game items.
